Our trip to Vietnam was fantastic, one of the best trips I’ve had. [Travel] Indochina was very well organized all the way. We were blessed with a great guide (Paula) who was extremely helpful, kind and patient. The group of travelers (strangers) were good too. They ranged from about 30 to 80 years old and easy to get on with and friendly. We always stopped at clean toilets and wonderful restaurants and great hotels.

There was a good balance of touring, shopping, resting, free time, group time, eating with the team, eating where you want to. I loved Halong Bay, Saigon, Mekong Delta, Hoi An, Vietnamese food, water puppets etc. I would certainly travel with them again and highly recommend this company. They met us at the airport and arranged our return to the airport. Thanks for your help.

Thanks so much, Suzanne. I had a fantastic time in Myanmar! Everything went very smoothly. Everyone picking us up was punctual and knew exactly where to go.

Inle Lake was my favorite place. The Inle Princess is gorgeous and has fantastic food. I thought the Inle Lake guide (we called her Lala) was especially good but all the guides were quite nice and knowledgeable. I could easily spend a week at Inle Lake.

We found plenty to do in Mandalay and wound up liking it a lot more than we expected. The hotel we changed to in Mandalay was nice but kind of unusual (especially the bathroom). I’d recommend that people stay closer to town when rooms elsewhere are available to avoid lengthy cab rides back and forth. The Mandalay guide (I’d have to look up his name) was very accommodating to our special requests.

The staff people at the Amazing Bagan Resort were very attentive. They put a happy birthday message made of flowers on Lisa’s bed and gave her a birthday cake. The free bikes there were not in very good shape and we gave up trying to ride them. I’d rather pay a bit, like at the Princess, and have bikes in very good working order. I really enjoyed the pool at the Amazing. The sunset boat ride in Bagan was a highlight for me. I encountered the most mosquitoes in Bagan and would recommend insect repellant there. I got bit a number of times at lunch at an open air restaurant in the little town near our hotel.

The Park Royal in Yangon had the best breakfast buffet (although all were very good). The hotel’s location is also fairly convenient, although it took us awhile to get our bearings the first day. Travelers should take small flashlights with them in Yangon in case they wind up out after dark b/c the sidewalks are very bad. We really liked the coffee shop, Cafe 365, next door to the Park Royal. (We went there twice, in fact.) Our Yangon guide took us to meet the students at an English language school, which was fun. He was also very accommodating to our special requests. We went to the incredible Swedagon twice — once with our guide and once on our own on the last day.

For fellow coffee lovers, all the hotels had bottled water, water heaters, and complimentary coffee — albeit instant — in the rooms. The easy access to coffee in the morning made me very happy.

As far as money, the Park Royal’s jewelry store, where we changed some money upon arrival in Yangon, was the only place that rejected any of my money (b/c of ink stains on the edges that I had not even noticed). Otherwise, I had no problems with my bills. In most cases, it was possible to use either dollars or local currency. Prices were generally very reasonable.

That’s all that comes to mind at the moment. Thanks, again!

we had a great trip. It was a good primer on India. The tour guide Matt was extremely efficient, knowledgeable and guided the tour activities professionally. The local guides were also excellent. We also have no complaints about the hotels, some of which were extremely excellent. Only comment is for them to all have water available daily. We now feel as if we could return to India independently, using TUI to assure transfers internal flights and accommodations as necessary. And there is a fair chance that we will return with a focus on specific National Parks to photograph wildlife.

I am just back from my trip to Burma, reviewing my pictures, and yes, doing laundry.

What a great time we had! The group was very compatible and we made some good friendships.

Thanks for your part in making the arrangements. Everything went just perfect including the visa.

I was so impressed with TUI – from the organization to the accommodations to our guides, especially our Western Guide Amanda from Australia.

Thanks again! Maybe we can work on a Vietnam trip in the future.

Had a great time. Our tour leader, Nikki [Zimbler], was fantastic. Logistics were always handled with speed and poise, and she was wonderful about preparing us for each morning/afternoon of the tour. Definitely added to the positive experience.

All in all, I was surprised at how developed the country is, as well as how friendly and willing to help the locals were at the hotels and restaurants. The pre-trip literature had my guard up, but all was well once we were on the ground. The local airport experiences were interesting, but chalk it up to the uniqueness of Myanmar.

Overall, solid trip. Looking forward to another TUI. trip in the near future. Thanks again for all your help.

Just wanted you to know that Troy and I had the best trip ever to Cambodia and Vietnam! Everything was perfect. Sadly, we had to cut our Halong Bay Cruise short one day because a typhoon was coming but they immediately took us back to Hanoi and upgraded us to a fabulous suite. At least we got one night on board, it was sad to leave but we managed to do most of our activities that first day on the boat…bike riding, kayaking in and out of caves, tai chi on deck, cooking class and several fabulous meals. Once again, thank you. Would highly recommend TUI to anybody!!!!

Just wanted to let you know that we got back safe, sound and very glad that we entrusted TUI with our special trip. I want to thank you for all your help which made a significant difference.

We did indeed have a private trip with an amazing guide until we left Samode (Gajraj) and a great driver (Vipin) who stayed with us all the way through to dropping us off at the airport for the flight home.

Having the guide with us worked out great as he handled everything just like (if not better) than the Western guide on our China trip. Add to that his insight and passion into the history of his country (he has a graduate degree in history and wrote papers on Agra), his presentations and stories, his special care to insure we were comfortable and happy, ability to gage exactly how long we needed to be in each place, what we in particular would like to expand or skip and even knowing what would thrill us even without asking. He went way far and above what was described in the itinerary. An example was sending us off to a Bollywood movie in Jaipur, which was something to see ! It seems to me that having a National guide is better than a Western guide supplemented by local guides. Gajraj truly let us intio the heart of Vietnam.

The driver was even more amazing. How anyone could drive over there is beyond me. He also went far and above normal. He cared about is personally. An example of that was coming back at night to drive us to a restaurant that we had a reservation at that he was concerned about us getting there on our own and then waiting for quite some time until we finished to take us back to the hotel. He kept us smiling throughout.

We actually missed both Gajraj and Vipin when we came home. We really hope to see then on our return trip.

Your help was instrumental in getting us these wonderful folks and we greatly appreciate it. The only problem that comes out of this is that we are now hooked on private tours. Not having to wait for others or rushing for deadlines and the personal attention made a huge difference.

I am now starting a campaign to write reviews on the internet telling the rest of the world how great TUI is. I will never doubt you guys again and pledge to not even consider anyone else when we plan on going to anyplace TI can take us.

By the way, India was an amazing place. I do not even have words to describe what we saw and did properly. We will return in a few years. I can tell you that the tiger we saw on Sunday was huge and stunning looking !

I just wanted to write and let you know that we had a fabulous time on our trip to Cambodia and Vietnam. The countries were so interesting to visit and the itineraries were very well planned. Our tour guide, Elise Britt, was excellent at previewing our stops and giving us all the information we needed to feel comfortable. She was also great at finding fabulous restaurants and ordering lots of yummy food for us to try. Additionally, we had a really fun group to travel with.

Thank you for all you did to pull our trip together. You have been so helpful, organized, and efficient. It was a real pleasure working with you.

TUI is high on our list when we consider our next Asia trip.
